Trying to keep it "Cell Shaded"

First Date?

My Boyfriend challenged me to do a piece that I coloured in a cell shaded style. Cell shading is almost always only two colours. The base and a shadow colour. So things tend to be flat and simplified. Trying to keep things clean and simple is harder than you would think. And for me resisting the urge to start shading and going into more detail than this took a little effort. But I like how clean and crisp the colours came out. Though I still think I went a bit overboard, he feels almost god-like with that glow...
I'll add more drawings in this same vein with an emphasis on keeping it as simple and clean as possible.

I know power girl isn't really a villain, but I wanted to have her in there as Kara's opposite. But I wish I had made much more drastic changes to the joker, like the ones I did on Clark. Meh. I just wanted to get this out of my head in any case....

I'm actually pretty happy with how these are turning out.

These are Yuri's palace drawings

mostly just exploring some rough colour and lighting. I'm just trying to figure out where I want to take the look of the palace and town. I know that I want to have alot of water, glass, light and transparency.

This one obviously isn't part of the ocean based city that is Yuri's kingdom, but started thinking about the ruins that are near Sarsen's palace.
